Bloody Mary Pot Roast...Yum...

OK, so you've had your pumpkin martini, now are you ready to cook? The recipe is courtesy of Lena Austin.

Bloody Mary Pot Roast

1 (3 pound) boneless chuck roast
6 ounces Bloody Mary mix (canned)
1/2 cup red wine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
8 small onions
3 medium carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 stalk celery, cut into 1-inch pieces

Place 22 x 18-inch piece of aluminum foil in an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Place beef in pan, and add Bloody Mary mix and wine. Sprinkle with flour, pepper, and onion soup mix. Arrange vegetables around beef. Fold foil over and seal. Bake at 350 degrees F for 2 hours or until tender.

Yields 6 servings.

Forgot to add my recipe LOL. I was showing my hubby this and he wants! Soon!

I've not done much with Halloween but my mom showed me how to make the pumpkin seeds. I too mixed them with different snacks by adding them in or eating them plain! Very simple!

Wash pumpkin seeds from Jack-O-Lantern. Let them dry for one day. Spread on a buttered cookie sheet and lightly salt. Toast at 350 oven for 10 minutes or until golden.

Hi Belinda,
Although I can't think of a Halloween recipe at the moment I just wanted to say I love your Halloween theme and recipe that's posted. Glad Cornelia mentioned it at Goodreads.

Great recipe! I am copying it off. Okay, recipe... actually, I usually make use canned pumpkin to make my version of chocolate chip cookies...
I use one stick of butter and half a cup of pumpkin, then also add pumpkin pie spices...
