Lucky in Red is a themed anthology by Jianne Carlo, Lynn Lorenz and Belinda McBride. We got together on this project with three ideas: werewolves, a red dress and a bar. As we hashed the details out, the bar became a dry cleaner, the action in our novellas is kicked off as the heroine brings her red dress to the cleaner and is forced to tell the hero how her dress got soiled.
The werewolves of the story are Max, the eldest and alpha, Diego, the trouble-making middle brother, and Antonio, the youngest and smartest of the group. We agreed on the basics and then cut loose with our brothers.
In 'Dark Chocolate Side of the Moon,' Max is the quintessential alpha: dominant and controlling, seductive and passionate. He controls his brothers and their businesses in the small town of Sleeping Dog, Texas.
In 'Dos Lunas,' Diego is swept off his feet by the cool, mysterious Victoria, who has some secrets that will have Diego howling for more...literally!
And in 'Red Velvet Moon,' Antonio finds out just how tough his little Daphne is when she explains the bloodstain on her dress.
Working on a group project has its ups and downs, and in this case, the project was mostly "up." As authors, we were all on the same page for almost everything from the theme to the cover art. We are also all excited to be working with this specific publisher, Passion In Print. They are the brand new het romance division of Laura Baumbach's MLR Press.
Lucky in Red is scheduled for a November release at Passion in Print. Please visit their website to find out more about their great talent and new releases!

Shapeshifters are my favorite creatures but the werewolf started it all. I'm always game for werewolf contests. Yippers!
